The CRL Prima Series of professional hinges is able to accommodate 5/16 to 3/8 inch (8 to 10 millimeter) tempered safety glass. A variety of four styles, including Wall Mount and Glass-to-Glass types, gives design flexibility. They are made of solid brass with all moving parts (pins and springs) in stainless steel. Prima Hinges are self-centering, with four springs for maximum retention strength. Optional 5 Degree Pivot Pin Sets are available to accommodate "off angle" installations. Some advantages of pivot type hinges include the fact that they carry the majority of the weight on the bottom, and have the ability to be inset from the wall, enabling clearance for towel bars and other projections. The Prima Series is adaptable to CRL's Deluxe Header System for shower enclosures not extending to full ceiling height.
| Additional Info | This new Offset Bracket Wall Mount Pivot Hinge is ideal for frameless shower doors that do not reach the ceiling, but will be using the top and bottom pivot style hinges. The Offset Bracket Wall Mount Hinge is used at the top of the door, and the standard PPH01 Hinge is used at the bottom of the door. The Offset Bracket is directed to the inside of the shower enclosure, thus providing a clean sight line from the shower exterior. Left Hand or Right Hand models are defined by viewing from "outside" of the shower enclosure (the PPH01 Hinge used at the bottom is universal). Optional 5 Degree Pivot Pin Set: Optional 5 Degree Pivot Pin Sets (Cat. No. P1VP1N) are available when you want to alter the closing position of the door by 5 Degree to accommodate "off-angle" installations. These Pivot Pins may be inserted prior to installation, or retrofitted after the installation is complete. Sold as a set of two, one for the top and one for the bottom. Not included with hinge purchase. Using two hinges with 5/16 to 3/8 inch glass (8 to 10 millimeters) the hinge will hold up to 100 pounds (45 kilograms) with a maximum width of 31 inches (787 millimeters).
